The State of Abolition in Connecticut November 2025

Brothers and sisters, I wanted to update you and share where things currently stand. I have reached out to the Foundation to Abolish Abortion (Bradley Pierce’s organization) for assistance in drafting a true abolition bill for Connecticut. It is time for us to move beyond only opposing abortion in principle or in public witness, and to intentionally prepare for equal protection legislation in our state.

I say what follows with love and sincerity, because I believe the Lord is calling us to maturity, unity, and seriousness in this work. We have been hindered here in Connecticut by internal strife, and that must stop. We need repentance, reconciliation where necessary, and a genuine commitment to one another.

Beyond that, there is still a limited understanding among many about what abolition actually is. Being at abortion facilities is good and right, but abolition is not simply “being against abortion” or “showing up at the clinic.” Biblical abolition is the active, strategic pursuit of legally ending child sacrifice, confronting the church, building grassroots conviction, and pressing the civil magistrate to obey Christ. That requires unity, clarity, humility, discipline, and prayer.

There has also been far too little corporate prayer among us. We cannot expect spiritual victory without spiritual means. Let us commit ourselves to regular, humble prayer together — for wisdom, holiness, courage, favor with legislators, and a spirit of repentance in the church of Connecticut.

I also want to lovingly address a growing mindset I’ve observed: that abolition and evangelism are separate, or even competing efforts. That is simply not biblical. Law and gospel are inseparable in public witness. To preach Christ in Connecticut while ignoring the legal, cultural, and spiritual reality of child sacrifice is to preach an incomplete gospel witness. Evangelism and abolition are not two ministries; they are one obedience. Our public proclamation must call our neighbors to Christ while confronting this national sin that cries out for justice.

I am sharing this not to rebuke individuals but to call us to sober-minded obedience. The King of Kings reigns over Connecticut. We are not here to “make a statement” but to seek the actual abolition of abortion in law and culture by the grace of God. I am asking you to join me in prayer, in unity, in humility, and in serious labor. Let us stand together in doctrine, in love, and in courage — not only to protest abortion, but to abolish it in the name of Christ.
