The Spectrum of Compromise and the Only Righteous Path

"They attempt to regulate the sin, not to destroy it." — William Lloyd Garrison

There are many positions on abortion in America, but when stripped of their justifications and political maneuvering, only one is consistent, only one is righteous, and only one truly stands against evil.

At one extreme, there is the pro-choice position, which is openly and unashamedly in favor of child sacrifice. It denies the humanity of the unborn, celebrates abortion as a “right,” and works tirelessly to keep it legal, funded, and unrestricted. It is a platform built on lies—lies that a preborn child is not human, that women must kill to be free, and that murdering the innocent is a fundamental right. This position is evil, and those who hold it must repent.

But not far behind them stand the moderates—those who try to live in two worlds at once.

The Personal Pro-Choicer, The Political Pro-Lifer (RFK Jr., Trump, and the Moderates)

Then there are those who say, "I am personally pro-choice, but I will uphold pro-life policies."

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Donald Trump fit squarely into this category. RFK Jr. has stated that he believes in a woman’s right to choose, yet he says he will govern according to Trump’s abortion policies. Trump, in turn, has claimed to be “pro-life” but has made clear that he opposes any national abortion ban and supports exceptions for rape, incest, and life of the mother—a position that still allows for 98% of all abortions in America.

This is nothing more than a pro-choice position with a time limit.

Think of how absurd this is:

Would you call a man anti-slavery if he said he was personally against it but would allow it to continue in some states? Would you call a man anti-lynching if he said he opposed most lynchings but believed some should still be allowed?

Yet this is precisely what we see today.

Personal beliefs mean nothing if they do not lead to action.

Jesus said, “Why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” (Luke 6:46).

If a politician knows that abortion is murder, yet refuses to act to establish justice, then he is no better than those who advocate for abortion outright. There is no neutrality in the face of murder.

And yet, even these compromised men are hailed as heroes by the pro-life movement.

The Pro-Life Movement: Regulating Murder Instead of Abolishing It

Moving further along the spectrum, we find the pro-life movement—a movement that claims to oppose abortion but spends its energy regulating it rather than abolishing it.

The pro-life movement has:

  • Blocked every bill of equal protection that would establish abortion as murder.

  • Opposed criminalizing abortion pills, which are now the leading method of child murder.

  • Called abortion-vulnerable mothers “victims” instead of holding them accountable for poisoning their own children.

  • Cheered for Trump, RFK Jr., and others who still support abortion in most cases.

Why? Because the pro-life movement has always been about managing abortion, not abolishing it.

“Tell a man whose house is on fire to give a moderate alarm; tell him to moderately rescue his wife from the hands of the ravisher; tell the mother to gradually extricate her babe from the fire into which it has fallen—but urge me not to use moderation in a cause like the present.” — William Lloyd Garrison

The pro-life movement has spent 50 years moderating and negotiating with child sacrifice.

They tell us, “We must be strategic. We must take small steps.”

Would we have accepted “small steps” toward the abolition of slavery? Would we have said to the slave, “We are working toward freedom, but for now, your chains will remain”?

This is the great lie of the pro-life movement—that justice can come through gradualism, that murder can be stopped by regulation.

The Only Righteous Position: Immediate and Total Abolition

There is only one position that is consistent.

Only one position that stands completely against evil.

Only one position that refuses to regulate or manage child sacrifice.

That position is abolition.

"Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy." — Proverbs 31:8-9

"To him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." — James 4:17

Abolitionism demands that abortion be treated as murder. Not just for the abortionist, not just for the pill provider, but for every person involved. It demands equal protection for the preborn under the law—nothing more, and nothing less.

It rejects the weak and cowardly position of those who are “personally pro-life” but politically passive.

It rejects the half-measures of the pro-life movement, which endlessly regulates abortion instead of ending it.

It stands apart from every compromise, recognizing that any amount of sanctioned murder is still murder.

Where Do You Stand?

The time has come to choose.

Are you among those who celebrate abortion and work to keep it legal?

Are you one of the moderates, who believes abortion is wrong but refuses to fight it?

Are you one of the pro-lifers, who wants to manage abortion but not criminalize it?

Or will you stand for total and immediate abolition—the only just and righteous position?

"I am in earnest—I will not equivocate—I will not excuse—I will not retreat a single inch—AND I WILL BE HEARD." — William Lloyd Garrison

And so will I.
